This week a committee of representatives from Franklin County Library System and Franklin County Historical Society began planning the 2009 community reading celebration, Franklin County Reads...Two Men Against Slavery, commemorating Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday and the 150th anniversary of John Brown's raid on Harpers Ferry.  By April featured books will be on sale at area libraries, and we hope to have a very special speaker for you in the fall.
Please stay tuned to this website and blog for more information as plans unfold.  There will be reading materials for the whole family, as usual.
